The app will allow students (Sophomore or higher) to submit Mentor Application, once the Mentor gets approval his/her name will be added to the list of mentors.
New students can download the app and register as a mentee. Mentees will be able to view Mentors profiles and submit mentor request.
Mentor will approve the request and then the Mentee will be able to schedule a meeting through the app.
Joe is a Freshman at University of Michigan School of Information. Joe born and raised in Los Angeles. Joe feels alone since moved to Michigan. He is shy and it’s hard for him to make friends. Joe enjoys hiking and photography.
It is been a week since school started. Joe is setting alone at Student Lounge in between classes, he is struggling to Adjust to campus life. He is thinking of dropping out of school and back to Los Angeles. A student approach Joe and handed him a flyer. The flyer is about the new Mentor/Mentees program initiative. The initiative includes a mobile application “MyMentor”. He whips out his phone and decides to download the application. Joe signs up as a Mentee and starts to create his profile, he adds his hobbies and interests. Joe wants to find a mentor that shares his interest in hiking, so he clicks on the search bar and types hiking, then he clicks on filters to customize and narrow his search. Joe finds a Mentor, he navigate the mentor’s profile and then sends a mentor request. The Mentor approves the request. Joe schedules an appointment with his Mentor. Joe is excited about his experience with the app and looks forward to meet his Mentor.
